Distance Learning Tips & Tricks
With schools set to continue distance learning for the near future, we wanted to put together some tips for helping keep your child focused and yourself sane. We don't specifically recommend any one of these sites or plans over another, but they all offer something we found useful.
- responsiblehomeschooling.org/covid/: Research driven website that's part of a program parents can sign up for to undergo classes and seminars. We haven't tried their paid services, but the free advice has some good stuff.
- familyapp.com/quick-prep-guide-for-covid-19-homeschooling/: We like the way this step by step plan helps walk you through the set up and establishement of good practices and habbits.
- news.vcu.edu/article/5_tips_for_homeschooling_your_kids_during_the_COVID19_pandemic: There is suggestion in here to remember you're working at home, not from home that raises an intersting idea about the importance of your mental framework. Also has some generally good tips.
- healthier.stanfordchildrens.org/en/learning-in-the-age-of-covid-19-how-to-help-kids-with-distance-learning/: All of the information here is useful, and they've assembled a comprehensive list of useful information that you can find here
- msn.com/en-us/news/us/4-tips-to-help-parents-manage-distance-learning-amid-pandemic/ar-BB16NQ8x: An interview with a program speclisit in Elk Grove.
- edhelper.com/teacher-education/10-Tips-to-Make-Distance-Learning-Work-for-Parents-And-Teachers.htm: This tip list goes more in depth than many of the others, offering more details on their suggestions and recommendations.
